Elle & Glenn and their sweet lakeside sunset elopement on the shores of Glendhu Bay, near Wanaka, New Zealand. Captured in collaboration with the Elopement Collective, Josh Withers & Crimson Wedding Flowers.
Hidden in the rainforest underneath Long Gully Bridge in the North Sydney suburb of Northbridge, flows Flat Rock Creek. You might recognise this iconic view from the opening credits of the TV series The Secrets She Keeps. However before it’s TV fame, it held a special place in Marcus & Robyn’s hearts, and this is the place that they chose to exchange their wedding vows with just a handful of their dearest family members present.
This love story was captured in collaboration with the Elopement Collective, Josh Withers, Posy Supply Co.
When the very idea of planning a large traditional wedding just seems too stressful, eloping while on a romantic holiday seemed like the perfect choice for Jodie & Alex.
“We loved that eloping would let us focus on what was important, and on what we wanted out of the day, without getting caught up in stuff that didn’t really matter to us. We didn’t really think too much about a theme or vibe. We didn’t need to. We just dressed how we wanted, knowing that the New Zealand landscape would do all the work for us! It was easy and relaxed – we felt so lucky in the lead-up, knowing that we just got to bask in our excitement for the day without getting too stressed or anxious about all the details.”

It’s something that I believe in more and more the longer I photograph weddings & elopements. Your wedding day is all about you! So make it all about you! What you like, who you want to be there, and where in the world you want to be. Dale & Milly (a wonderful photographer herself) did exactly that. They took only their closest loved ones with them on a holiday to Queenstown and eloped by Lake Wakatipu. Then we caught a chopper up to Cecil Peak for some alone time and to soak in the views of gorgeous New Zealand. Everyone wore black and kept their phones in their pockets and were totally present in the best possible way! I still can’t get over how awesome work” days can be!

A chance encounter at JB Hi-FI was when Chris & Taylor first met. Taylor was lining up in-store at the gaming section where Chris served her at the register and they exchanged smiles and cheeky glances. A love that was meant to be from the very first moment. Their Newcastle wedding brought together their love for all things vintage, video games and of course, Kim Kardashian & Kanye West.
