Congratulations!! Planning your wedding or elopement is such an exciting time. I believe photography is such an important investment in our future. Photographs are what keep our memories alive 20+ years down the road. Long after the music has stopped, when the food has been eaten & the decorations are pulled down, the only tangible thing that remains from all those beautiful moments you shared are your wedding photos.

Capturing the emotion surrounding you on your wedding day is my passion. The approach I take is that of a quiet observer, unobtrusively documenting and sharing in the events as they happen. I really believe in letting your day speak for itself to showcase the quiet and joyous moments alike. I'm there for the real connections, the real emotions and all the beautifully intricate details.

I will help guide and direct you in a way that brings an editorial feel without feeling staged, while we create some beautiful art pieces for you and your families to cherish. My biggest inspiration is the personalities of the people I photograph. I always want my images to reflect my couples honestly and I also want you to have the best day ever!

FINE ART

ALBUMS

Thicker + Large Diamond Divider - Colour Edit 0.png

Rather than keeping your memories hidden away on a computer, consider presenting them in a beautiful fine art book that can form part of your home decor and be a centrepiece for conversation. Imagine sitting together with your friends and family, playing your favourite record and flipping through your wedding photos in timeless print.

My handcrafted fine art albums are fully customisable. They are printed on museum quality, lay-flat fine art paper with archival inks. Covers are designed with your choice of material and beautiful embossing. A precious piece of your family history and something to pass down through future generations.

THE BOOKING

PROCESS

To secure your wedding date a retainer of $1500 and completion of my online booking form & contract is required. This includes some "getting to know you" questions as I think it is really important to learn a little more about your personalities, your life together and about your vision for your wedding day. Your balance is then due one month before your wedding date.

Please Note: It is very common that I receive multiple enquiries for the same wedding date, so unfortunately I can only reserve a date once the deposit has been paid.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

QUESTIONS

  • I have been photographing weddings since 2012 and it has been my full time job since 2016 and I still love it! I did used to run around town with a film SLR camera taking pictures of anything and everything when I was in high school, so I guess becoming a photographer was always in my destiny.

  • I am based in Canberra and most of my work is in the ACT or surrounding Snowy Mountains, Southern Highlands & Riverina regions.

  • I love the places photography takes me and I find so much inspiration in new towns and locations. I have been lucky enough to photograph weddings and couples in Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania, Townsville, Darwin, Adelaide, Singapore, New Zealand, Santorini, London, and Las Vegas just to name a few. I assess travel costs on an individual basis but they are usually a one-off fee that will include accommodation and flights if necessary. If you would like to chat more about travel please feel free to email with all the details of your wedding or shoot. I would love to be there!

  • Not at all. Almost everyone feels awkward in front of the camera, and it’s my goal to make the experience as fun and stress free as possible. During the portrait session, we will go for a walk around your location or venue and create some gorgeous images together. My method is very relaxed and I will guide you through the process with some minimal directions. At your wedding I try to keep out of the way and let you enjoy your day with your family & friends. All you have to do is have a great time and forget that I am even there.

  • Your wedding ceremony is something that will only happen once, and it’s so special to fully immerse yourself in it and share that with your loved ones. Having an unplugged ceremony means telling your guests to put their cameras and phones away and really be present in the moment. I love it when my couples choose to have an unplugged ceremony. Not only does it make it so much easier for me to capture these important moments without anyone blocking the way, but my photos will show your guests emotions so much more when they are truly experiencing it. When you look out at your friends and family on your wedding day, would you rather see their smiling faces and tears of joy, or a sea of phones and ipads?

  • For more than 90% of the weddings I photograph, I do shoot them alone. I have a small kit of two cameras and a few lenses and try to keep things to a minimum so I can sneak around like a ninja and capture candid moments without impacting the running of the day. I only really recommend booking my second shooter option if you are having a larger wedding with over 250+ people.

  • Yes. I have public liability & professional indemnity insurance plus all my gear is insured as well. I can provide you with a certificate of my cover should your venue need one.

  • You can expect to receive the entire online gallery of images roughly 8-10 weeks after your wedding, sometimes earlier, depending on the time of year. I always send out a small “teasers” gallery for you a few days following your wedding though, so you will have some great shots to share on social media and celebrate with straight away!

  • You will receive a beautiful, password protected, online gallery hosting all of your images from your session or wedding. You are free to share the gallery with all your family & friends and you have complete control over who gets access and what they see. There are no water marks on any of the images and the high resolution files are available for download at any time. My online galleries also include a great feature that allows you direct access to my professional print lab. This way you and your guests can easily access the best quality prints and products all from right inside the gallery.

  • Absolutely. You have full rights over the images and can download and print them as much as you please.

  • I don't set a limit on the number of images that you will receive. It really depends on a number of factors including the length of coverage you choose, how many people are at your wedding and the type of events that occur. I concentrate on quality over quantity, but as a rough guide an 8 hour wedding will typically receive around 600-700 images.

  • Photographing a wedding is a pretty physical job, and I am on my feet all day without much time to stop, so if I am photographing your reception a VEGAN main meal would be super lovely to make sure I am recharged and energised to capture even more awesome photos for you. :) The best time for me to eat is at the same time as you. This way I can be finished as soon as you are, and I won’t miss any important speeches or candid photos of you mingling with your guests. Plus, no one wants photos of themselves eating right?!

  • Definitely! I have worked with so many incredibly talented people of the years and have curated a list of my absolute favourites: https://www.laurencampbell.com.au/friends
