I have been dying to share this shoot with the world for soooo long, and now I am jumping for joy to be able to! In March last year I got to collaborate with the most amazing team of creatives to create this magical picnic in the forest. We carted crates of all things picnic up hills, and through trees and it was just the most fun! The amazing styling, flowers and catering is by my fav girls Folklore & Co. And Erin Pittard worked her makeup magic on our gorgeous models Sally Shipard & Lori Lindsay. This was such a special day, made even more so by Hooray Magazine running it in their summer issue which went on sale today. Pick up a copy of the mag to see the "Perfect Summer Picnic" and to get the recipe for that delicious looking apple pie! And now the moment I have been waiting for...

ELIZA & IVAN

Eliza & Ivan married by Canberra's iconic Lake Burley Griffin, on the lawns of the National Gallery's Sculpture Garden. Their whole wedding day, complete with Serbian dancing at the reception was such a BLAST! So much fun, so genuine and so true to who they are! Every time I flick back through these images I can't stop smiling. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to be there to capture their story and get to know their lovely families.  x

Some of my absolute favorite Canberra vendors helped to make this beautiful day what it was:

Today I am so happy to share that my gorgeous couple Samantha & Andrew's wedding at Ginninderry Homestead is published in Issue 26. It's on sale today and definitely worth buying! x

MELBOURNE BOTANIC GARDEN WEDDING

AMANDA & BRIAN

This is a wedding I hold very close to my heart. I shot this in April this year at the scenic Gardens House at the Melbourne Botanic Gardens. Amanda & Brian are the kind of people who welcome you into their lives like family and I am forever grateful to have had the chance to meet them and be the one to capture their beautiful wedding. Everything about it was intimate, meaningful and full of heart. The beautiful story of how they met overseas, fell in love and were engaged 4 months later is something you would expect to read in a romantic novel. Brian told me: "I proposed to Amanda when she came to Ireland for the second time in November 2012. I proposed on a beach on sunny day (very rare in Ireland) in Doire Fionn, Co. Kerry. For the two weeks prior, I had taken Amanda on a trip around Ireland in my VW Polo 2000. It was the fourth time we had met in person." Amanda said YES! in an instant. They have the kind of love that can't be ignored and their warmth radiates to all who surround them.  Their wedding is also featuring on Hello May.

Some very talented friends & vendours of Amanda's helped to make this day amazing also:

COOMA COTTAGE YASS

ANNA & BEN

Last Saturday I was fortunate enough to be invited to the wedding of Anna and Ben in Yass, NSW. The wedding was held at the historic Cooma Cottage, and not even the constant rain could dampen spirits on the day. The whole event felt like a beautiful and surreal festival shared only with the closest of family and friends (even their dogs Blue, Kep and Jip), made all the more intimate by the inclement weather. It's hard to describe just how amazing this wedding was - barefoot dancing in the rain, traditional Polish toasts with vodka shots, and delicious Mexican food from the amazing Cantina Mobil van. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of such an incredible day. Congratulations guys! #benanna2014

I hope you enjoy looking through these images as much as I enjoyed taking them. Make sure you press play on the song below - The song that Anna and Ben rocked out to for their second first dance. x

MORUYA WEDDING

NATALIE & ADAM

Natalie & Adam are two of the most kind hearted people I know. Having the honour of capturing their beautiful wedding day is something I will always feel so lucky for. I've had the opportunity of shooting with them both before (click here & here if you are keen to take a look back) and I knew their wedding was going to be something so special! Adam proposed to Natalie on the sands of Moruya beach so it was only fitting that their reception was held at the Moruya Surf Life Saving Club...not that you will recognise it as a surf club though thanks to the amazing talents of stylists Folklore & Co. But the best part of this truly beautiful day was the genuine warmth and love that surrounded them. I can't say enough how much I loved this day!!! x

Also if you would like to take a look at their showreel from the day be sure to head over to Seasons Wedding Films.

NEWCASTLE WEDDING

JAYE & TOM

Half way through the reception at Jaye & Tom's wedding, when everyone was busy eating and I had a few minutes to stop and reflect on the day, I thought to myself... "I feel like I'm a guest at a close friend's wedding!" That's a pretty amazing way to feel considering I only met them both a few days earlier. Jaye & Tom are two of the most warm and caring people, who show so much love for their family and friends. All day, the same sentiment was repeated.... "They would do anything for anyone!" They were adored by everyone in the room! So much so that their guests had organised some surprise entertainment for them. Jaye is an Irish dance teacher, and her gorgeous students put on the most amazing performance (complete with costumes) for all the guests. Next up was a beautiful ballet performance which was followed by an a capella version of "Meet Me In the Middle of the Air" and a joint musical performance to finish off. It was unlike anything I had ever seen.

Now you might be wondering why I titled this post "Best Day Ever (MkII).

Well, in Jaye & Tom's own words: We ran into each other at Scotties on a beautiful September day now know as "best day ever". We decided to catch up for drinks that night and didn't leave each others side from that day on. =)

I couldn't resist heading to Scotties to take some special snaps of them where it all began. x

Their Ceremony was held at the Shepherds Hill Lookout Station in Newcastle, followed by the reception at Fort Scratchley. And if you love the bridesmaid dresses as much as I do, you will be interested to know that the lovely Jae from Jaebird (also known as the maid of honour) made them all herself!
