CROWDY BAY ELOPEMENT

TAMARA & DAVID

Thicker + Large Diamond Divider - Colour Edit 0.png

This was one of those epic, magic days that doesn't quite seem real at the time. As I look back over the years since, I realise just how lucky I am to have been there to witness such a special commitment. Tamara & David chose to secretly elope in their favourite place, Crowdy Bay National Park, looking out over the ocean at sunrise. As the birds rose for the day, the soft hum of a single cello could be heard while the waves crashed below the clifftop onto the rocks. What a way to set the tone for exchanging your marriage vows! After their intimate ceremony that I was so happy I could be an official witness to, we spend the whole day exploring the coastline and all it had to offer. We climbed rocks, walked through thick bushland, found beautiful huts & campgrounds and when the time felt right, we headed to Diamond Head beach & settled in for a celebratory champagne picnic in the cutest teepee that they built and styled themselves. This was all about them, no schedule, no stress, no worries what so ever. True heart.

This day is also very special to me, as it was chosen as the cover & feature of White Magazine's issue 28.

So now you have seen the printed feature, I am ecstatic to finally be sharing the whole beautiful day in full below. If you are thinking of eloping, I can whole heartedly recommend it, and I would LOVE to come along and capture it, no matter where it may take us! Tamara & David, lots of love to you both! x

A chance encounter at JB Hi-FI was when Chris & Taylor first met. Taylor was lining up in-store at the gaming section where Chris served her at the register and they exchanged smiles and cheeky glances. A love that was meant to be from the very first moment. Their Newcastle wedding brought together their love for all things vintage, video games and of course, Kim Kardashian & Kanye West.

FITTERS WORKSHOP WEDDING

SARAH & RICHARD

Thicker + Large Diamond Divider - Colour Edit 0.png

Sarah is an amazing designer & one of the founders of Design By Them, so I had a feeling her wedding to Richard was going to look incredible. And it sure was! She went with her instincts and transformed the Fitters Workshop in Kingston into the perfect mix of grand minimal. Amazing use of space, furniture from her own brand, and indoor plants to finish off the look. It was perfect and such a great way to infuse the day with her own amazing style. Beyond the look of their wedding was the heart. Amazing friends and family all gathering together, sharing wood-fired pizzas and antipasto plates, finishing up with the most epic dance party that pumped on well into the early hours of the morning complete with esspesso martinis, 2am sliders & gold hula-hoops to keep the party vibe strong! The best word to describe it - epic! x

HALL PAVILION WEDDING

LAUREN & BLAKE

Thicker + Large Diamond Divider - Colour Edit 0.png

I loved the way Lauren & Blake chose to really personalise their wedding to their own personal style. Lauren - an interior designer - styled her wedding beautifully with gorgeous succulents and she designed her own stationary. They didn't have a bridal party, and instead of having speeches, they asked their family to write their speeches down, and they printed them beautifully and hung them on the walls of the hall for everyone to read and mingle around during their party.  A wedding should be exactly what you want it to be and I love when my couples really embrace that!

LAS VEGAS WEDDING

JAVIER & NATHAN

Thicker + Large Diamond Divider - Colour Edit 0.png

I've been so lucky to work with some amazing people in the Canberra's creative community. One of them is Javier - the amazing designer & creative director for HerCanberra. We first got to know each other & became friends through a photo-shoot I was working on for their Magazine. We would catch up for coffee and discuss the upcoming projects, and it was at one of these catch ups that Javier mentioned that she was thinking of getting married in Vegas & jokingly wished I could photograph it. I instantaneously said I'D LOVE TO!! Let's make it happen! And so off we flew a few months later to the USA!

That was exactly one year ago now, and I'm over the moon excited to finally share the whole day. Javier & Nathan chose the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Downtown Vegas & were married by the king himself! Then we popped some champagne, took to the desert for some photos, made our way back to celebrated long into the night in the historic Fremont East District.

TERRARA HOUSE WEDDING

KELLY & NICK

Thicker + Large Diamond Divider - Colour Edit 0.png

On a dewy spring day in 2015, Kelly & Nick exchanged their vows surrounded by the opulent gardens of Terrara Estate. Inspired by soft bohemian accents, Kelly was timeless in her floor-sweeping gown with demure lace details. The South Coast holds some amazing wedding venues and this is definitely one of my favourites. x

CORUNNA FARM WEDDING

ANTHEA & LYNDON

Thicker + Large Diamond Divider - Colour Edit 0.png

When Anthea & Lyndon first told me that they wanted me to photograph their wedding, my response was pretty much a loud joyous scream of shock and happiness all rolled into one. There were two reason's that I was so ecstatic and surprised. 1. They weren't actually even engaged yet - and wouldn't be for a few more years yet. 2. They are both extremely talented wedding photographers themselves. It's always a thrill when someone really loves and appreciates the work you do, but there is definitely something very special when people from your own industry believe in the work you do, and trust you capture their most important day for them! I can't even begin to describe how honoured I am to have been chosen by these two talented photographers.

So roughly 3 years later, together with their close friends and family, they threw the most incredible WEDSTIVAL (part wedding - part festival) on a beautiful property on the south coast called Corrunna Farm. It was New Years Eve and the weather was warm with a light cooling mist of rain that showered over the coast that evening. There was no phone reception, no television, and everyone camped in amongst the trees and celebrated the new year with the joining of two families by dancing in the rain long into the early hours of the morning. It was like everyone there was in a little cocoon of joy - and the outside world didn't matter. Because everything in the world that did matter was right there with them. Anthea & Lyndon, you both are such dear friends to me, and I can't thank you enough for trusting me to capture this perfect day. x
